In this course, students examine the elements of integrated supply chains and related management functions. Proper management of the supply chain from raw materials to the end-consumer including the flow of information provides companies with a competitive advantage that aligns with management and corporate goals. By examining the driving forces of goods, variations in timing, and the importance of supplier and customer locations, students have a well-rounded knowledge of the responsibilities and current methods used in supply chain management required by managers in all industrial sectors to effectively support operations. The impact of technology on supply chain management is addressed.
