Artist Bio

MiSun Kim-Hunter

MiSun was born and grew up in Korea. She took Pottery and Metal Arts at InDuk College. Her first major job was as an assistant director for Seoul Movie and Cinepoem production companies. Afterwards, she worked as an illustrator in Angenara, an illustration company in Korea. She moved to Canada in 2003 and since then she has been developing her career as an artist. MiSun is a Professor of Watercolour and ceramics for St. Lawrence College, teaching in full-time and part-time programs. With many art exhibitions throughout Ontario, MiSun spends her summers exhibiting her artwork and teaching in the 1000 Islands Summer School of the Arts.


MiSun will be teaching multiple courses in Ceramics and Sculpture as well as Drawing & Painting. All courses will be at the Brockville campus see below for courses available:

Ceramics and Sculpture

  • Advanced Surface Techniques - May 4th-June 22nd from 9 am-12 pm
  • Beginner Bundle - June 29th & July 6th from 9 am-12 pm and July 16th, 12:30 pm-2:30 pm
  • Glazing - July 16th from 12:30 pm-2:30 pm

Drawing & Painting

  • Watercolour: Dramatic Skies - July 13th from 9 am-4 pm
  • Watercolour: Advanced Techniques - June 1st-22nd from 12:30 pm-3:30pm
