This position is responsible for two related functions:  Management of the Craig Centre for Innovation and Community Based Innovation. As the manager for the Craig Centre for Innovation, the incumbent is responsible for developing and implementing activities that support building the innovative capacity of our communities. This role includes resource management (space, financial, human, capital), stakeholder engagement, and program development. The incumbent will manage the day-to-day requirements of the Innovation Hub as identified in the operational plan. The Craig Centre for Innovation will provide space for a variety of educational, community engagement projects; resources to support innovative thinking and exploration, and to further real-world learning opportunities. The Community Based Innovation function is meant to advise, support, and develop tools, students, and staff in the effective implementation of community-based learning projects. The incumbent provides oversight and guidance to the students and staff involved in Community Based Innovation and will be responsible to ensure that projects and membership align with the College’s strategic directions and represent the diversity of College programs and campus needs. This also includes the administrative oversight and leadership of the College’s ENACTUS team.


Education and Experience:

A minimum of a three-year diploma/degree in a relevant field of study.

A minimum of five years of experience working in post-secondary environment. Experience with community development projects. Experience advising and coaching.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements:

The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location or work temporarily from a remote location with reliable internet access, as approved by the College and in accordance with the college’s Telework Policy.

Regular office environment. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary & Terms

  • Administrative Group: Pay Band 9: $68,991 - $86, 140 per annum, commensurate on education and experience, plus 6% vacation pay.
