John Ronson
I moved to Canada from the United Kingdom in 1981 and have dabbled in photography all my adult life … I picked up my first digital camera about 20 years ago and never really looked back. While my passion for photography has grown, it was not without certain difficulties. It was extremely frustrating to discover as a young boy that I am colour blind! It was as a result of this my favourite medium is black & white photography. Consequently, my inclination was to work on tone and light rather than colour. Now I’m actually surprised and delighted when people express their pleasure for my work. So, with that being said, you will see that my portfolio comprises of black & white photography and textured art, which I call “paintography”. My favourite subjects are landscapes and nature.
