This year, Open House is a morning offering of online sessions. Due to COVID-19, a one-day, large in-person event isn’t possible. Rather, this Fall Open House is comprised of many small, 60-minute live events that take place Saturday, November 20 on Zoom between 8:30am and 11:30am.
1. Attendees can tailor their experience to their interests and needs. With 65+ program sessions and 30+ services sessions, prospective students will be able to register for the exact sessions that suit their academic interests and career goals, as well as the services they might use to support their success. Akin to “fireside chats”, these live events provide a casual setting for prospective students to ask questions, learn about programs and services, and connect with professors, staff, and current SLC students.
2. International Career Days will be offered virtually November 24-December 7 for prospective students across the globe. These live panels of current students and alumni are scheduled to suit international time zones and provide the opportunity to learn about pathways SLC offers for students and graduates, potential careers, job opportunities in Canada, and services offered by Career Services.
3. Campus tours are still possible – virtually. The College’s 360° Virtual Tours allow prospective students to tour our campuses from the comfort of their own home. They can stroll through the hallways, check out the state-of-the-art student labs and classrooms, and more.
