3 Things to Know About Virtual Open House

A person sits in front of an open laptop at home. Behind them is a bookcase filled with books.

If you connect with prospective students who are still gathering information, or current applicants who want to be as prepared as possible for their upcoming program, here are three things to know about the College’s upcoming Virtual Open House this spring 2021:

1. Open House is a month-long offering of online events. Due to COVID-19, a one-day, large in-person event isn’t possible. Rather, this spring Open House is comprised of many small, 30-minute live events that take place on Zoom between April 5 and May 7. Akin to “fireside chats”, these live events provide a casual setting for prospective students to ask questions, learn about programs and services, and connect with professors, staff, and current SLC students.

2. Attendees can tailor their experience to their interests and needs. With 65+ program sessions and 30+ services sessions, prospective students will be able to register for the exact sessions that suit their academic interests and career goals, as well as the services they might need to be successful.

3. Campus tours are still possible – virtually. The College’s 360° Virtual Tours allow prospective students to tour our campuses from the comfort of their own homes. They can stroll through the hallways, check out the state-of-the-art student labs and classrooms, and more.
