Duties

St. Lawrence College invites applications from qualified individuals for part-time teaching positions for the Spring 2019 term and beyond for the Cornwall campus location.  Immediate in-class teaching opportunities exist starting the week of April 29, 2019 for the following course:

 

MARK 201 Introductory Marketing I

Introductory Marketing is a core course in the Business Program (Diploma) at St. Lawrence College. It is designed to introduce students to the principles and practices of marketing and marketing management in both small and large organizations. It provides a framework for marketing decisions from which students can proceed to more advanced courses in the discipline of marketing.

 

DUTIES:

A professor is responsible for the following:

  • Developing curriculum in support of an individual teaching assignment and/or program needs.
  • Teaching in the program as assigned.
  • Providing individual help to students requiring special assistance.
  • Evaluating student progress, academic advising, committee work, and other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a Masters of Business Administration with a concentration in marketing preferred. A combination of educational credentials plus relevant work experience and formal teaching experience in a post-secondary teaching institution will be considered.  A minimum of seven years of experience with at least three years of recent, relevant work experience. Comprehensive experience in all aspects of marketing strategy, with emphasis in tactics and implementation across both business to business and business to consumer organizations is an asset.  Experience in teaching, mentoring, workshop delivery, or other training is essential. All candidates must be excellent communicators, with strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment. Excellent leadership, mentoring and teaching skills are essential, combined with a strong commitment to academic excellence and student success.  Refer to the Search Criteria for a complete list of qualifications and skills required to teach at the College.

 



Salary and Terms

Salary:  Commensurate with qualifications and experience

Start Date: April 29, 2019
