St. Lawrence College invites applications from qualified teachers to teach Continuing Education courses offered by the College at the Brockville and Cornwall Campuses.  There are currently no openings at the Kingston Campus.

Candidates will be hired on a part-time contract to deliver one or more courses, as available. The College is currently looking for teachers for the following in-class courses scheduled to be offered in Winter, Spring and/or Fall 2018.

Leadership Development Series
Employment Law (Cornwall – required immediately for the Winter 2018 term)
Today’s workplace is highly regulated from the commencement of the employment relationship through to its termination. An examination of both statutory law and common law will be undertaken in both federal and provincial jurisdictions. Students will review laws such as employment standards, health and safety, labour relations, pay equity and human rights legislation as it applies to management, employees and leaders.

French Language Certificate (Brockville/Cornwall for May 2018 and Fall 2018 terms)
This program is designed for students, who have little or no knowledge of French, to reach a level of oral expression and comprehension that enables them to converse in everyday and professional situations. Emphasis is placed on interpersonal communication. Grammar and vocabulary progress from simple sentences and words to being more complex and varied. Reading and writing are part of the program as these are fundamental language skills. Students learn through a variety of engaging and interactive activities that build confidence in communicating in French. There are six course levels required to complete this certificate.

Job duties will be determined based on course offering.  Course outlines will be provided.  Learning plans will need to be developed by the Teacher.



Education and experience related to the course offering.  Experience teaching adults will be considered an asset.
