In addition to Dual Credits, we offer many exciting activities for school boards in the Winter/Spring semester: 

Brockville: 

Connections 7/8

Description: Students from the local participating School Boards in Grade 7 & 8 will have the opportunity to participate in and attend a one day hands-on program exploring a variety of pathways at the college.

Cornwall:

Description: Students from the local participating School Boards in Grade 7 & 8 will have the opportunity to participate in and attend a one day hands-on program exploring a variety of pathways at the college.

10/11 College Sampler Day
Date: May 16, 2018
Number of Students: 150
Description: Grade 10 students from the Cornwall area can participate in a 1 day hands-on activity to include the Skilled Trades (Welding, Automotive and Carpentry) and Journalism, Gaming and Business activities.

Kingston: 

7/8 STEM Day (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)

Description: Students from local school boards in Grade 7 & 8 will have the opportunity to attend a hands-on day featuring a number of activities focused on math and science at the Kingston campus. 

Young Women Innovators Conference 7/8 (YWIC)
Date: March 23, 2018
Number of Students: 100
Description: This conference introduces young women in grades 7 & 8 and their teachers to careers in the skilled trades and technologies. Throughout the day, St. Lawrence College staff and related service providers will offer a series of hands-on activities, informative presentations, inspirational guest speakers and informal networking with female role models who work in the skilled trades and technologies.

Number of Students: 300
Description: Students from the local participating School Boards in Grade 10 and 11 will have the opportunity to attend a one day hands-on program in a pathway that interests them. This day can also be used as a Reach Ahead activity towards SHSM designation.

Indigenous Day of Learning At St. Lawrence College 7/8

Description: This workshop will introduce students to some of the traditions and teachings of our Indigenous Peoples. 

Health & Wellness Day 7/8
Date: Wednesday, May 24, 2018
Number of Students: 100
Description: Through this program students will learn life skills and be familiar and comfortable with the college environment. Students will focus on healthy eating, healthy coping mechanisms, and mindfulness.
