Your audition will include one short dance combination that will be taught to you at the beginning of your audition. Be prepared to sing two songs; one ballad and one up tempo. Choose something that is appropriate to your character, personality type and age. Bring your sheet music with you. An accompanist will be provided. Please do not bring a CD, tape or instrument. Please note that a short musical theory assessment will be administered as part of the audition process. The monologue should be from a contemporary play that is age appropriate and not longer than a minute and a half.

Get ready for your audition in 3 easy steps:

  1. Apply for the program at ontariocolleges.ca.
  2. Complete the audition form and send it to the College, along with your $50.00 audition fee. The fee is $75.00 if you pay on-site on the audition day.
  3. Contact Janet Venn-Jackson, Program Coordinator, at jvennjackson@sl.on.ca and register for an audition or send in your electronic submission.

  4. Audition times for singing and monologues will be scheduled ONLY when the audition fee is paid in full. You will be directly notified of the time by the Music Theatre - Performance Program Coordinator.
