    Testimonials

It was 2013 when I was welcomed in the 1 year Certificate program of AUBS.  A vision, that brought us from the lovely land of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania to Canada.

As each month unfolded with a new world of learning, the overall SLC support was phenomenal:  Book Store, Library, and Assignment editing Tutors, to the professors.  Nearing graduation, Resume and Cover Letter revisions were exceptional.

The highlight was to be one of the 6-students to participate in the first ever Centre of Education, Behavioural Research and Intervention in the Community (CEBRIC) pilot project introducing curriculum assessments using Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program [VB-MAPP] & Assessment of Functional Living Skills [AFLS) and developing teaching programs to Limestone District School Board.

The experience gained at SLC has paved the path to be an instructor therapist for individuals with Autism in Orangeville and share the knowledge with professionals in Tanzania.

My special gratitude goes to Mary Ann Lyons in the Eagle Learning Café, who gave me support, solace and a warm welcome to study, relax and reflect.
