    Testimonials

As a graduate of the CDA program I can honestly say, it has been one of the most rewarding educational endeavors I have ever pursued. Coming from a University background I was not sure what to expect in college and assumed it would be another one of those “you are just another number, not an individual” scenarios. I am completely shocked by the lasting friendships I have made with everyone in the program and the relationships I have created with the professors. I have always had a passion for the field of Speech Therapy, and the CDA program has taken my passion for this field to a new level. I learned more in one year than I could have ever taken away from my 5 years in University, and have been given the ability to network with professionals in the field during my 2 clinical placements. Communicative Disorders Assistants are slowly starting to have a new place in the world of rehabilitation as we move forward, and the CDA Program at St. Lawrence College prepares you above and beyond anything you could possibly expect. I remember applying for jobs after finishing University, before taking this program and thinking “ya I got this in the bag!”…until the interview, when I realized how little University had prepared me for a career. After completing the CDA program I go into interviews confident in my abilities because of the hands on, friendly and heartwarming experiences I have had the opportunity to experience in the CDA program.
