English as Second Language

St. Lawrence College offers English as Second Language (ESL) programs on our Kingston campus, designed to help improve English proficiency in an academic setting. Completion of this program allows students to pursue further study at St Lawrence College. If you are an international student or domestic student who speaks English as a second language, this program is for you.

ESL Program Information

  • Join the program in May, September or January
  • 7-week or 14-week sessions
  • 24 hours of instruction per week, including 4 hours of computer time
  • Pre-Intermediate, Intermediate, and Advanced levels
  • College credit course available for Advanced level students

Employment Service at St. Lawrence College

Connecting You to Employment. The Employment Service programs funded by the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development are available free of charge to job seekers over the age of 16 who are out of work, out of school, and eligible to work in Canada. Employment Consultants are experienced working with immigrants and new Canadians. Offices are located in Ottawa, Sharbot Lake, and two locations in Kingston.

Online Education

Continuing Education

Continuing Education offers a variety of face-to-face courses and many programs at our Brockville, Cornwall and Kingston campuses, including courses that enable you to upgrade your skills, ignite your passion for learning, and help you achieve your educational goals.
