MUTH 501

This placement course simulates the process of independently producing an original work by continuing the creative process begun in MUTH 58 and applying it to the formation of an ad hoc company (The Puddle Jump Players) responsible for the production and touring of a TYA (Theatre for young audiences) show.

Mentored by faculty, students integrate acting, music and dance in the rehearsal process in order to prepare and perfect their performances and apply production skills (such as public relation and marketing, liaison and outreach, technical operation, stage management, directing, set construction and musical accompaniment) in order to tour a show to professional performing venues.
