MUSC 10

This course builds on the fundamental basics of ear training and sight-singing introduced in first semester, MUSC5. Through drills and exercises, students expand their listening and singing skills and acquire the ability to convert sound into written notes and the ability to convert written notes into sounds. The specific areas of study include Aural Identification (intervals, scales and modes, chords, inversions, cadences, bass lines, chord progressions), Rhythm and Melody (reading and identification), Singing and Solfège, Critical Listening.
