COMP 340

This course will take you though the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) of a small-scale software project. During this course you will learn how to work within a group that will produce a software system to meet a set of requirements given to you by a client. You will learn how to use the Unified Process (UP) in order to analyze requirements, and to capture those requirements using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). You will also use the UP to design a software system that meets those requirements and capture the design in UML. This course is offered in conjunction with COMP 31 (Introduction to Java). Software systems designs developed in COMP 340 will be used as the basis for a programming project in COMP 31.
