COMM 150

This course equips Medical Laboratory Science students with effective verbal, nonverbal and written communication strategies. Students practice active listening skills, learn how to interpret non-verbal messages and how to avoid common barriers to effective communication. Students practice researching and analyzing scientific data and producing professional-quality correspondence and reports using basic medical/scientific vocabulary. Groups will introduce peers to the roles, responsibilities and challenges facing professional groups in healthcare delivery.
