Pre-Requisites:  CIVL 14 - Mechanics of Materials, CIVL 23 - Construction Materials

Reinforced concrete is the most common material for engineered structures. Today’s technologist must have an exceptional understanding of the material’s behaviour in order to effectively plan, design, specify and inspect a construction project. Through a series of lectures, assignments, fieldwork, discussions and tests, the student applies concepts to practical engineering projects utilizing reinforced concrete.
