CAYW 110

This course is designed to equip students with the attitudes, conceptual frameworks, and technical skills necessary to plan, develop, implement, and evaluate appropriate recreational and therapeutic programs for children and youth. Students will be introduced to the therapeutic value of play and the role that group dynamics and leadership development play in recreational and therapeutic programming. This course includes a lab component in which students implement therapeutic programs in an outdoor and gymnasium setting. (45hrs)
