CARP 15

In this course students will study the principles and practices used to build the structural framework for a residential building. This will include floor, wall and ceiling framing; equal and unequal pitch roof framing; rafter calculations; trusses and truss installation; preserved wood foundations. Structural requirements will be studied in the context of applicable building codes. The use of the Imperial and Metric systems of measurement will be developed in this course.
