BIOL 356

A combined lecture/laboratory course dealing with pollution and contamination control, waste handling and treatment, methods used to de-contaminate polluted environments, geo-chemical cycling processes, government regulations and standard methods used in the collection, preparation and analysis of toxic chemicals in the work and ambient environment. Emphasis is placed on the chemistries of contaminants and pollutants and their analysis.

Prerequisite: INST1        Corequisites: BIOL254; BIOL 355
