BEHA 20

This course is designed to introduce the basics of Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT) using a practical approach. The course focuses on identification of internalizing disorders (e.g.: anxiety, depression, etc), treatment techniques commonly used in CBT and the theories underlying them. This is an applied learning course with emphasis on how the process of CBT works and its suitability for various client populations.  This understanding will grow out of the theory presented in class, evaluation and testing of your own hypotheses and rationale for the type of treatment recommended.
