This is the second of two managerial accounting courses and provides an in-depth study of management accounting concepts. The course focuses on identifying and using cost accumulation systems for decision making purposes, such as using standard costing systems, job order costing, activity-based costing, departmental costing and joint cost allocations. The course also discusses analysing cost behaviour and relevant costing, product and service pricing decisions as well as identifying costs of quality and inventory decisions. Various problems faced by managers will be analysed with students having to identify the proper management accounting tool to be used for various situations.
