Digital Photography
This course will introduce students to the basic aspects of digital photography. Students will develop an understanding of how colour, shapes, lighting, and framing a photo all contribute to make a great shot. Students will develop their skills in photography to make picture taking more successful and enjoyable. Students will be given projects during the class. They will shoot photos of abstract shapes, scenic, still life, portraiture, and architectural images inside and outside of the school. Students must bring their own digital cameras and understand the basic functions. They must also bring their camera manuals, memory cards and USB plug ins. Camera batteries must be fully charged for each class.

Pottery Hand Building Workshop
This class will focus on learning the basic construction of hand building pottery forms. Students will make pinch pots, coil pots, slabs, and moulds. The student will make the forms and then use the various surface decorations (grafitto, glazing, slip covers) to enhance the piece and reflect their own personal style. A supply fee of $15.00, for clay, is payable to the instructor the first day of class.

Creative Art Camp
Join us for one week of fun and creative learning through different media. You will learn how to sketch a still life and paint portraits. You will also create an abstract collage and paint like Monet. Material cost is $25 each, payable to the instructor on the first day of class.

Drama: Movement and Characterization
To move or not to move….that’s not the question; the question is how can I express myself in movement and non-movement while having fun doing it? Can you show how creative and expressive you are without moving a muscle? Learn how! Can’t dance? Neither can I , but we’ll listen to weird sounds and abstract music and move more creatively, learning how to express our emotions and our stage character. Wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to polish your concentration and listening skills.

SLC Athletics Presents the 1st Annual Youth Sports Camp
Our SLC Athletics Department has teamed up with the youth camp to deliver the 1st Annual Athletics Sport Camp.  Each day will focus on a new sport taught and facilitated by our varsity coaching staff, athletic officer and our tri-campus manger.  Participates will have the opportunity to compete and build their skills in the following sports: badminton, indoor/outdoor soccer, rugby, basketball and possibly volleyball/ floor hockey it time permits.  This camp is designed to teach youth the fundamentals of each sport in a positive energetic environment.  At the end of the week, participants will receive participation awards, along with special skill development recognition for the top athletes in each sport.
