Program Code 0479

This program is designed to build on the previous knowledge, skills and attitudes of the Post-Certificate health and/or social service field worker in order to increase competency and skill in caring for those with dementia. This program is aimed at auxiliary healthcare workers, health care aides, home support workers, personal support workers, family members and others caring for people with dementia.

  • BEHA 1000 Overview of Dementia Care 
  • BEHA 1001 Communication and Interpersonal Skills
  • BEHA 1002 Caregiving Skills 
  • BEHA 1003 Ethics and Legalities 
  • BEHA 1004 Clinical/Field Placement with Clients 

Required Elective : 30 hour course approved by the College
