Bookkeeping Certificate

Program Code: 1017

St. Lawrence College in cooperation with the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping offers a program leading to a career as a professional bookkeeper. CIB is a national, non-profit organization dedicated to preparing you for greater financial and job security as a Certified Bookkeeper.

The Bookkeeping certificate program expands opportunities for individuals involved in or pursing a career in bookkeeping. The program will provide the student with the skills and knowledge required to set up and maintain a complete set of books for a small to medium sized business. The required courses provide a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge and applications of general bookkeeping principles. Students progress through introductory, intermediate and advanced levels of bookkeeping.

Upon completion of all courses and the required practical experience, the student is then eligible to qualify for professional certification from the Canadian Institute of Bookkeeping (CIB). See chart below, and visit CIB’s web site at www.cibcb.com for further information.
