Creative and Freelance Writing

Program Code 0350

The Creative & Freelance Writing certificate program is designed to provide students with the skills that will enable them to understand and master the subtleties of the craft of writing. Individual initiative will be encouraged as part of the program and students will learn to give and to accept criticism. Upon completion of the program, students will be expected to demonstrate excellence in writing and will be confident in their own abilities, whether they choose to use these in pursuit of full-time self-employment, in part-time freelance work, or for personal enjoyment.
