ARTS AND SCIENCE CERTIFICATE

Program Code 0478

Arts and Science is a unique program that enables individuals to custom fit studies to meet specific needs and goals. Students will take a number of core courses which provide a solid foundation in communication, interpersonal, and core employment skills, computer literacy, and general education. The remaining courses are electives, chosen in consultation with the program coordinator, that support individual career plans. Credits earned can be applied towards the two-year Arts and Science diploma program recognized by the State University of New York at Potsdam. Our two-year Arts and Science diploma (G.P.A. of 2.25) earns a full two years’ credit towards a four-year B.A. or B.Sc. at SUNY.

Program Location : Cornwall

Upon successful completion of a fouryear B.A. or B.Sc. at SUNY, Potsdam, students who want to become teachers in Ontario elementary or secondary schools spend a third year at Potsdam to complete the Masters of Science in Teaching degree (minimum G.P.A. of 2.75 in B.A./B.Sc.).
