Description...

Wheel throwing for beginner and advanced levels, hand building techniques, glazing, surface decoration, oxidation firing.  Beginners will be taught the basics of throwing, as well as the fundamentals of hand building — the coil, the slab, the pinch pot.  Advanced potters will focus on improving throwing skills, development of hand built forms, and various surface treatments.  All students will be encouraged to examine their personal expression through the manipulation of the ceramic medium of clay.

Description...

This course is for all levels. Hand building and wheel throwing will be taught as well as decorating and glazing techniques. Different firing methods will also be covered. This is a hand on course but a note book is required for record keeping. Bring an apron, towel and your enthusiasm. This is a fun class.
