Employers gave St. Lawrence College a perfect score for the graduates they hired over the past year, according to the annual Key Performance Indicator (KPI) survey released today.
St. Lawrence College received a 100 per cent score from employers who said they are satisfied or very satisfied with the graduates they have hired. The provincial average was 91.2 per cent.
St. Lawrence College scored well above the provincial average in all of the top KPIs:
86.5 per cent of St. Lawrence College graduates found employment within six months of graduation, compared to the provincial average of 83 per cent.
84.5 per cent of St. Lawrence College graduates were satisfied or very satisfied with the quality of their education. Provincially, the graduate satisfaction rate was 78.8 per cent
80 per cent of St. Lawrence College students were satisfied or very satisfied with the quality of education, while 76.5 per cent of students across the province reported satisfaction.
“Our guarantee to students is that they will be career-ready when they graduate,” said Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO, St. Lawrence College. “We work very closely with our industry partners to make sure we are meeting their future needs and we’re very proud that one hundred percent of employers are satisfied with the graduates they hire.”
Provincial KPIs have been gathered annually since 1998 by two independent research firms for the colleges, and for the Ministry of Advanced Education and Skills Development. The most recent data was collected March 2016 to February 2017.
