Marianne van Silfhout Gallery and community partner DSLG present Celebrating Spirit art exhibition

The Marianne van Silfhout Gallery is proud to present Celebrating Spirit: Holiday Art Exhibition & Sale in partnership with Developmental Services of Leeds and Grenville (DSLG).

The exhibition, which highlights the creative abilities of DSLG clients, will be on display at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery on St. Lawrence College’s Brockville campus from December 11 to 15, 2017. The exhibition also includes the sale of their artwork, with all proceeds going to the artists. Members of the community are invited to a reception in the Gallery on Friday, December 15, from 7:00-9:00pm.

Developmental Services of Leeds and Grenville is committed to providing a variety of clinical and support services which will enable persons with developmental disabilities to develop their potential within their communities. All art in the exhibition was created by DSLG clients.

Celebrating Spirit is made possible through the support of donors to the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery Community Outreach Fund.

Artwork by the following artists will be on display:

Steven Beaudoin, Cynthia Dorion, Anne MacDonald, Sara Lynds, James Bangma, Julie Graham, Linda Chapman, Karen Earl, Martha Allan, Glen Munro, Karle Devries, Steven Lacasse, Paul Carriere, Patty Ross, Lisa Good, Sandy Colquhoun, Joan Haksteen, John Jozefowicz, Stephen Cummings, Allan Towey, Cindy Emmings, and Cheryl Durant.

With Wood Working by the following artists on display:

Fred Elms, Steven Lacasse, Paul Dixon, Andrew Dixon, Karle Devries, Allan Towey, and Billy Watson.

Tuesday to Friday 10 am to 8 pm
Monday and Saturday 10 am to 4 pm

About the Art Gallery
The Marianne van Silfhout Gallery is a state-of-the-art community art gallery located at the front atrium of the Brockville campus of St. Lawrence College and is a focus for the visual arts for Brockville and the larger Eastern Ontario area. Creation of the gallery was made possible by the generous bequest from the Estate of Marianne van Silfhout, a graduate of the Fine Arts program at St. Lawrence College, and other contributors to the St. Lawrence College Foundation.
