SLC Golf Tournament raises big money for students

The St. Lawrence College Foundation raised $20,000 for student supports at the 24th Annual Golf Tournament held May 25, 2017 at Smuggler’s Glen in Rockport.

Despite the rain, 140 golfers enjoyed a fun day on the course in support of the college while networking with their colleagues and local business leaders.

The winning men’s team included: David Beatty, David Thomas, Ray Lumsden and Paul Fournier and the winning mixed team was IBM Canada: Colette Lacroix, Don Aldridge, Michael Zeleny and Chris Chabassol.

Thank you to the Reception Sponsor, Leith Wheeler Investment Counsel Ltd. and Putting Contest Sponsor, Empire Life.

Funds raised will support Uncommon: The Campaign for St. Lawrence College, as well as the Extraordinary Learning Fund and SLC Athletics.

“St. Lawrence College deeply appreciates the support of our community partners,” said Glenn Vollebregt, President and CEO. “Funds raised by the Foundation provide important benefits to our students and we are fortunate to have partners who are committed to supporting the next generation of community leaders.”
