SLC brings home the hardware!

St. Lawrence College is proud to announce the success of its students from the School of Business at the Western Canadian Business Competition hosted by Okanagan College, Kelowna BC March 11th – 13th 2016.

SLC dominated the competition at the Senior level taking home the second place prize for Best Team Performance Overall. The team also brought home individual accolades in the form of Gold Medals for Chief Marketing Officer, Best Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Human Resources Officer in the Senior category.

The Western Canadian Business Competition brings together students from other Business Diploma and Undergraduate Degree programs across BC, Alberta and Ontario. The students are tasked with adopting the role(s) of Senior Management of a fictional company and delivering presentations of the implementation of their business strategy in a simulated competitive global economy.

“We are thankful for the being part of this team and never imagined that we would have an opportunity to travel to B.C. and compete with the best students from colleges across Alberta and B.C. and with students from England, China and Brazil,” said Michael Zapotichny, a student in the Business Administration, HR Fast Track program. “This experience was life changing.”
