Degree completion opportunities in Ireland highlighted at SLC event

2014-02-12

St. Lawrence College is pleased to welcome representatives from the Institutes of Technology Ireland and Enterprise-Ireland to its Kingston campus on February 13 from 11 am to 4 pm. They will be on campus to talk to our students and faculty about articulation agreements for degree completion at their schools in Ireland. The main event will be held in the Dining Hall.

The event will include information sessions and presentations about degree completion opportunities that exist and how to apply, entertainment by traditional Irish dancers, and more. For those who are not able to attend, a live webinar will be available Wednesday, February 26 at 4pm.

“This is a great chance for our students and faculty to learn about these exciting opportunities for furthering education,” said Don Young, Dean of Applied Science at St. Lawrence College. “Ireland is open for post-secondary students, and we want our students to be able to take advantage of these international educational opportunities.”

In 2011, Colleges Ontario and the Institutes of Technology in Ireland concluded an agreement to provide opportunities for Ontario College Diploma and Advanced Diploma graduates to complete Bachelor’s degrees in Ireland. St. Lawrence College students and graduates can take these programs in a short duration at reduced prices. St. Lawrence College has exclusive agreements with the Institute of Technology Tralee (ITT) and Institute of Technology Sligo (ITS).

Currently articulation agreements exist with the following programs:
