Blackboard Services Restored


SLC Students and staff:  Blackboard Restoration of Service

What happened:   Information Technology is very happy to let you know that the Blackboard system is back online.  Blackboard has been recovered to a point before the data corruption (Tuesday December 2nd @ 10:00am). 

What this means:  

  • All updates/changes to Blackboard on Tuesday December 2nd between 10:00am and 2:00pm (when the system was taken offline for maintenance) have been lost.  Any such updates/changes/posts/submissions need to be redone.
  • If you were taking an on-line test through Blackboard on Tuesday December 2nd between 10:00am and approximately 2:00pm, please check the status in My Grades after service.  If you have concerns or issues regarding how many questions were submitted properly, please contact your instructor or the Student Service Desk at  Please provide your name, contact information, course ID and the name of the test or assignment.  You will be contacted for assistance with your specific situation.

We will be reviewing our procedures to prevent a future occurrence. We apologize for this very serious situation at such a busy time of the year and thank you for your patience.
