Visual and Creative Fine Arts program grad show

Andrew Hamilton is Program Co-ordinator and Professor of the Visual and Creative and Fine Arts diploma Program on the Brockville campus of St. Lawrence College. He reports that this year’s graduating fine artists are some of the strongest he has seen in the recent past. They are showing off their talents in a Graduating Exhibition right through to the end of May at the Marianne van Silfhout Gallery… it’s called, “Raison d’Etre” or their REASON for BEING.

The ten graduating artists have excelled in the re-vamped ARTS program that now includes sculpture and Illustration classes, so you’ll see those new art forms included in their exhibition. A show Opening  or ‘vernissage’ was held on April 17th to celebrate their two years of hard work and dedication to their craft. According to Art graduate Shantell Bell, “Raison D’Etre “ may be the end of their time at St. Lawrence College, but it’s the beginning of an exciting new journey that will take them to places they’ve never dreamed.

The graduating exhibition displays works in water colour, pen and ink, acrylics, photography, oils, mixed media and so much more.
