St. Lawrence College gets ready to open its doors

2009-11-20
Natsania Mullin took a long and winding road to St. Lawrence College. Before beginning his studies in the Bachelor of Business Administration program, the Nunavut native travelled Canada and the world volunteering with Katimavik and Canada World Youth. Choosing St. Lawrence College was easy for Nastania. “While I was travelling across Canada, one of our stops was Kingston. I was so impressed with the friendly people I met here, and the really high employment rate of SLC grads.”

Find out what impressed Nastania so much on November 21 from 9 am to 1 pm when St. Lawrence College holds its annual Open House events on all three campuses. Staff and students will be on hand at the Brockville, Cornwall and Kingston campuses to provide one-on-one information, give tours of the labs and services, and answer questions about student life, paying for college, and more.

"We chose Saturday morning for our Open House this year to accommodate the largest amount of people," said College recruiter Lou Ann Hamilton. "We're hoping that parents, high school students, counsellors, the young and not-so-young adults looking to further their careers will all come out to talk to us."

“I know SLC is preparing me well for my future,” said Nastania. “It’s essential to have post-secondary education these days, and I students here have limitless possibilities. And I’m having the time of my life while preparing for my dream job!”
