Orientation kicks off new academic year at the Cornwall campus

St. Lawrence College will welcome all new students to the Cornwall campus on Tuesday, September 8 with plenty of fun and interesting Orientation activities.   This year, the Cornwall Campus expects to have the largest group of first-year students in over ten years.

 

The day kicks off at 9:30 am and includes campus tours, program information, a barbeque and much more.

 

“Orientation is a fun opportunity for new students to make friends and to see the services and supports available to them,” said Wanda Williams, Director of Student Services for St. Lawrence College. “They’ll also have the chance to meet their professors and classmates and get the year off to a great start.”

 

Activities continue during Welcome Back Week for all students:    Wednesday, September 9, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, Meet the coaches and sign up for varsity, intramural and recreation opportunities,  free hot dogs, movies and pool in the Student Lounge; 12 pm, Karaoke contest with fabulous prizes! Thursday, September 10, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, free hot dogs, movies and pool in the Student Lounge; noon, a Scavenger Hunt and Mr. Teeth Mascott tryouts; 6 pm to 10 pm, Eat and Greet for students and faculty; Friday, September 11, 11:30 am to 1:30 pm, free hot dogs, movies and pool in the Student Lounge; 6 pm to 10 pm, Welcome Back Pub.
