Energy Systems Engineering Technician (Kingston)

Businesses and consumers are becoming more concerned with the financial and the environmental costs of energy usage. Graduates of the Energy Systems programs will learn about helping individuals and organizations to become more energy efficient – reducing energy demand (and cost) – and will work on the design and installation of sustainable energy technologies – to help reduce the impact of energy usage.

Our Energy Systems Engineering Technician and Technology graduates will fill the growing needs of employers in this rapidly expanding field. Student work will involve energy auditing and modelling of existing conventional heating and lighting systems and specifying energy efficiency improvements for residential, commercial and industrial buildings. Students will be trained in the sizing, specification and implementation of solar photovoltaic, solar thermal and other sustainable energy systems.

“The teachers in the Police Foundations program were top –notch. After hearing from other people about their experiences in the same program at other colleges, I’m even more certain that SLC is one of the BEST colleges available. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone! ”
