Each year elections are held for students interested in sitting on the Board of Directors. Nomination forms are circulated at the start of the winter semester with deadlines that are set by a student-run election committee. If you are interested in helping make a difference on your campus and improve student life, we strongly encourage you to run and become a member of our team.

About Us
The Student Association (SA) of St. Lawrence College is an independent not-for-profit corporation designed to help enhance your experience as a student here at SLC. The SA was founded in 1967 to represent the voice of the student and provide a variety of services to assist and engage the SLC student community. The SA strives to provide opportunities to help students grow socially and academically while at SLC.
Student Association Mission Statement: "To represent, protect, and promote the rights and interests of our student body while improving student life, both on and off campus."
Our Services
We are located on the second floor in the main building. Our Student Liaison and evening Desk Clerks are available during operating hours to answer questions about the campus and ensure customer service in the Student Association Centre. Along with coordinating student life and engagement activities on and off campus, we also offer a range of services and amenities on the second floor! These include:

Copy Centre
Everything you need for that important project… in a hurry! Transparencies, laminating, scanning, colour printing, binding, specialty paper, business cards, full professional Postscript colour printing and professional support… at the right price! Open 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Games Room
FREE pool tables, ping pong, video games and closed circuit television make this the perfect recreation centre between classes. You can choose to sit back and relax with some friends or pick up a controller and play the newest games on our Xbox 360, PS3, and Nintendo Wii.
Diana Drury Study Centre and Muis Lounge
Relax, socialize, and study in our newly renovated study centre, complete with direct access to our Copy Centre. We also have the Muis Lounge – an area to go and unwind with friends on your downtime.
SA Boardrooms
The Student Association has four boardrooms, allowing for an easy and professional environment for groups and clubs to meet. Forgot your markers or need a projector? No worries, all you need is your student card and you can sign out our items to fit your needs. If you would like more information on booking the boardroom, contact our Student Liaison at 613-544-5400, ext. 1502.
Campus Food Bank
Our campus food bank program is available to students in need. Non-perishable products are supplied through an agreement with the Partners in Mission Food bank and frozen meals are provided by the SLC Culinary programs. For more info, set up an appointment with a Student Life Counselor.
Student Health/Dental/Vision Insurance Plan
As a full-time student enrolled at St. Lawrence College, you are provided coverage under a universal health/dental/vision plan. For more information regarding this plan or how to opt out, visit the information desk in the SA to receive a copy of an information booklet.
