Ms Office is the umbrella term for a group of computer programs, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, and Access. Its different programs have many applications but is used primarily for writing, presentations, data collection, and email. These are essential tools that every student needs to have a basic understanding of their use.

St. lawrence college has an academic license to the website www.lynda.com. The site contains a database of tutorials on a variety of accessible software, and devices. As a student of St Lawrence College you have access to this wealth of information, and all the privileges associated with this membership. To access this website and the OneNote tutorials please follow the steps below.

Step 1:

  • Click on the option (Log In through your organization or school) and type SL.ON.CA into the box, and then click GO.

(You will then be prompted to sign in using your St Lawrence College student account)

Step 3:

  • Enter your student account information as you would logging into the college computer system

Login Example:

  • Your SLC user name: jdoe01
  • Your SLC password: (XXXXXXXXX)

Step 4:

  • Congratulations you now have access to the Lynda.com database. You can now search for any number of tutorials, on a variety of different programs including Microsoft Office.
