Learn about the renewable energy research facilities at St. Lawrence College and visit a solar rooftop installation. The tour begins at Energy House on the grounds of Kingston campus. Your tour guide will be Gordon McAlary, Professional Engineer and Principle Investigator for the Sustainable Energy Applied Research Centre at St. Lawrence College.

This workshop will help you understand the many options for home heating, especially if you do not have natural gas. Learn how to estimate your annual heating energy cost for a variety of different energy sources and technologies. Choices for lighting from an energy cost point of view will also be covered, with some guidance on making the choice between LED and CFL technology.

Your workshop leader will be Ian Kilborn, full-time faculty member in the Energy Systems Engineering Technology Program. Ian is a Professional Engineer, Certified Energy Manager, and experienced energy auditor.
