For the third year, the Behavioural Programs of St. Lawrence have partnered with South East Regional Autism Services to bring you another exciting and educational 2-day conference that you will not want to miss!

Thursday April 16th and Friday April 17th, 2015
Kingston campus

We have excellent speakers lined up offering a variety of topics of current interest.

Day 1
Our keynote speaker has been confirmed: Dr. Tristram Smith
Strong Center for Developmental Disabilities, Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics, Rochester, NY.

AM and PM Concurrent Session Topics Already Confirmed Include: ABA-Based Interventions for Children with Autism in Schools; Acceptance and Commitment Therapy; Sexuality and Autism Spectrum Disorder; Interdisciplinary Communication, and Embarking on a New Model of Community Based Behaviour Services.  

Also, on Day 1, don’t miss the Behavioural Psychology programme’s annual Poster Gala in which 4th-year students present their thesis work. This year, the program is proud to be celebrating its 10th anniversary.  More details on celebrations to come.

Day 2
This one-day workshop consists of two sessions. The first session will be presented by Nancy Warren, BCBA and is designed to provide parents, caregivers, teachers and instructors with information and strategies to manage stereotypical behaviours in individuals with special needs. The second session will be presented by The Geneva Centre for Autism and designed to provide parents, caregivers, teachers and instructors with information and strategies to manage anxiety and self-regulation in individuals with special needs.
