Welcome to St. Lawrence College. We look forward to meeting you this fall. Here are a few pieces of important information that you should know to help make your first few days and year a success.
ORIENTATION – Tuesday, September 7
Make sure to attend Orientation activities. The day will be chock full of important information and a great opportunity to meet your new classmates and staff of the College. Start times and locations vary by program and campus. Visit "Campus Life" > "Orientation".
IMPORTANT DATES
Classes begin September 8, 2010.
Semester ends December 17, 2010 (for most programs)
Statutory Holiday, Thanksgiving Day is October 11, 2010.
Winter Term begins : January 10, 2011 (for most programs)

TIMETABLES & Booklists
Brockville, Cornwall and Kingston campus your timetables will be mailed to you about August 13, 2010. Brockville and Cornwall booklists are now online. Kingston campus booklists are mailed to you.
STUDENT CARDS
At St. Lawrence College each student is issued an SLC ID card. The SLC ID card is an electronically validated access card which proves that you are a full-time student; this card serves many different purposes both on and off campus.
How do I get my card?
Once your full time tuition and compulsory fees are paid, or you have paid the OSAP deferral fee, you are eligible to receive your SLC ID card.
You must show valid photo identification from the following: Driver’s License, Passport, Citizenship Card, Aboriginal ID Card, Firearms Card, Military ID Card.
When and where do I get my SLC ID card?
Cards are available beginning the week of August 23rd.
Come prepared to have a photo taken; only proper names or abbreviations will be used.
*No hats, sunglasses, or other items which may obstruct your face will be permitted.

How long is my SLC ID card valid?
Student cards are valid during the length of the college program (e.g. Police Foundations valid for 2 years). If the student withdraws or is no longer a student of St. Lawrence College, the ID card must be surrendered to the student’s program department.
What can my SLC ID card do for me?
The SLC ID card is your main identification on campus; in addition, download our pdf for a list of all your SLC ID card uses.

PAYING FOR COLLEGE
OSAP – If you have applied for OSAP remember to check your status on-line periodically. You may go on-line http://slcconnect.sl.on.ca/ to book your fall OSAP loan pick-up appointment at the College.
