This graduate certificate program allows you to build on your diploma or degree with knowledge in core areas like human resource planning, recruitment and selection, training and development, compensation, workplace safety, and labour relations. You'll be a strategic leader ready to work in a variety of industries.

Ontario Learn and Stay Grant
Eligible programs: Practical Nursing and Bachelor of Science in Nursing

The Ontario Learn and Stay Grant provides funding for students studying in priority programs in priority communities in Ontario. Eligible students will receive full, upfront funding for tuition, books and other direct educational costs in return for working and caring for people in the region where they studied for a term of service after they graduate.

Eligible programs for 2024-2025:

  • Practical Nursing (2 years) - Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall campuses
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years) - Kingston, Brockville, and Cornwall campuses

50 Years of Caring: Celebrating a Legacy of Nurturing Children, Youth, and Families
St. Lawrence College's (SLC) Child Care Worker, Child and Youth Worker, and Child and Youth Care graduates and current students will commemorate their 50-year contribution to the community with a reunion. The event will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, from 4 pm to 8 pm on SLC’s Kingston campus. 
St. Lawrence College Celebrates Success at Skills Ontario Competition
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of its students at the recent Skills Ontario competition. Held on May 6th and 7th the event showcased the exceptional skills and talents of young professionals including 15 SLC competitors in 11 different disciplines. SLC’s Nathan Orr, a student from the General Machinist Apprenticeship program, won the gold medal in Precision Machining. Nathan's victory marks a significant milestone for St. Lawrence College, as it represents the first gold medal in an industrial trade since our gold in Esthetics. Last year, Nathan won silver in the same category, demonstrating his dedication and continuous improvement in his skills. 
St. Lawrence College Opens New Paramedic Simulation Centre on Cornwall Campus 
St. Lawrence College (SLC) is proud to announce the opening of a new Paramedic Simulation Centre on its Cornwall campus. The new donor supported space will revolutionize the learning experience for future paramedics, providing them with advanced simulation capabilities. SLC will formally open the centre with an unveiling event on Tuesday, May 7, 2024.  The revamped labs feature cutting-edge equipment and technology, including video capture capabilities and simulated environments replicating real-life emergency scenarios.These simulations will allow students to practice critical emergency response procedures in simulated real-world environments, preparing them more effectively for their clinical placements and future careers.
